We must understand that to be a Christian is indeed a special status, that is, to be gifted with faith. Since we are gifted with faith so too must we be chosen and if we are chosen then how much more so are we holy. This is not a checklist, or a litmus, the opposite, it's a radical state of grace, for if we were excluded from our identity due to our sin we as a people would not exist, For a Christian even though they sin is still a Christian! Otherwise there would be no Christianity. For an King to be a king Jesus Christ must have a people, a king without a people is not a king. Since we are chosen, we are elected holy despite our flaws. Each of us, all believers in God Jesus are a part of the body of Christ.
