The Siege of Hunter oil.

The pristine facade of the Hunter oil administration building was entirely obscured by a sea of chanting students, flashing smartphone cameras, and heavy security barricades. Kelly Taylor’s anonymous leak had done its job with terrifying efficiency. The rumor that Hunter Oil was using its financial backing to turn the campus into a corporate playground had emboldened the opposition and radicalized more, to the point of marching on Hunter oil.

Inside the tactical command just outside the perimeter, Teddy Montgomery adjusted his earpiece, his face grim as he stared at a wall of blinking monitors.

"Perimeter breach at the west gate," Teddy barked into his radio, his tactical training completely eclipsing his old country-club tennis persona. "Squad B, move to reinforce the administration doors. Nobody gets inside Hunter oil."

Beside him, Noah Hunter paced the floor, a secure satellite phone pressed to his ear. "I don't care about the PR anymore, Chancellor! My family's company isn't going to be run off a campus by a couple of kids with megaphones."

But the chaos at CU wasn't just fueled by anger. In the dark alleyway behind the student union, Colin Robbins slammed the rear doors of his unmarked cargo van shut. His face was slick with sweat, the stress of dealing with international cartels taking its toll. Next to him, Jasper Vance adjusted a heavy duffel bag over his shoulder.

"The leak worked," Colin muttered, Jasper sneered, his eyes locked on the administration building. "Kelly Taylor thinks she can play dictator on my campus? Doesn't she realize that we've already won? All publicity is good publicity this just generates more and more exposure, she doesn't know it but that bitch is helping take our movement to the world! And thank you for helping me out Colin." Colin replied " look man I have a history with her and those people and I am not trying to get caught up in this again let's keep our business separate, I can help you with what you need when you need it, but the buck stops there, aren't you afraid of being seen with me i have a rep around here?" "Rep! Ha! " Jasper laughed! As he slapped Colin on the back and walked away.
