Veil

The Apostle Paul tells us NOT to read the old testament! That's right, the Apostle of Christ who has given us God's Commandments in his letters commands us to not read it. The reason is the veil of Moses. I am often criticized for saying that we Christians should not canonize the old testament but it's precisely what Paul wants for us in the faith of Christ. Look it's really simple the old testament causes spiritual blindness. It's called the veil of Moses.

This shows us two very important things, so important it shakes the very foundation of the church.

1) the old testament veils us to the message of Christ.

Then so too and how much more so

2) the old testament must be void of Christ unlike what the churches usually teach. For if it includes Christ is wouldn't be blinding yet since Christ is not found in it it is a veil.

Even if we are to accept the assumptions that the angel who wrestles or the captain who is worshipped are pre-carnate Christ the point is the old testament is not able to provide or produce a relationship with Jesus Christ even more it actually can eclipse it.

Does this mean the Law is bad? No. Paul says that it's not bad, rather it's nailed to the cross. Not for us.
