None of Marcion's own writings exist, this matters for 2 reasons. 1) it means the things we know about Marcion come mostly from people who opposed him, so we have to take these things with a grain of salt and 2) we cannot really take Marcion literally, we don't have his own words. What we can do is interpret Christianity from an overall Marcionite perspective or shall we say Pauline spirit. I call this neo-marcionism and despite what many say this is alive and well in the Body of Christ and has been for 2000 years. What I mean by this is that Christians are a Christ covenant, a NT people. Most Christian people do not follow the OT anyway! Sure there is an historical attatchment and also Christ can be found in the OT but regardless, Christianity IS a historically Pauline faith, the rest is merely commentary.
