If faith is indeed a gift of the holy spirit how than can a merciful and just God actually punish those who have had this gift withheld? Isn't the punishment already implied in the fact that they haven't received this gift of the spirit and must live life without the joy we all know makes us better in every matter and gives us the power to move onward day by day? We have this gift only by the grace of God not that one may boast but may be more Christ like. We should pity not judge those without this blessing. Lead by example to our best ability.
