Jesus and Adam

Romans 5. Paul connects Jesus and Adam.

When Adam was created he wasn't human because he was created without sin. He became human when he sinned.

So too when God Jesus dwelt among us in our likeness He was without sin, thus He was not human, He was God dwelling with us, not fully human but in our likeness.

Adam became mortal thus he became fully human when he sinned, he wasn't created that way, Jesus is Immortal becoming only mortal and in physical human likeness when he was on the cross and received the sins of mankind. He was only temporarily human on the cross when he put upon Himself our sins.

Sin is the nexus, it shows us that what relates Jesus and Adam is sin but also what distinguishes Jesus and Adam is sin. Adam became fully man living in the complete human conditon of sin but Christ conquered sin and death thus He had not the complete human condition, He received the human condition of sin while on the cross but only until it was finished.. Thus He is God!

Lastly we see Jesus has only Divine will and nature, for humans have the nature of wrath but that cannot be said of Christ even when He put on our sins! For even when accepting our sins He was still Himself not a sinner or He couldn't have been our atonement
