Legalism

You hear it a lot. Paul speaks about it a lot. Yet everyone seems to have a different definition of legalism. Mainly legalists who do not even realize they are in fact legalists themselves often claim to believe in the free gift of Grace yet always have something extra that you need to do... It's exhausting and that's exactly how Satan wants it! He wants you distracted from your need of a Savior he wants you to think you can do it alone. Because you can't.

The bottom line definition i can come up with is merely

"Any theory that professes salvation is by anything other than faith in Christ alone is legalism"

Rev Mark.
