Do we subconsciously interpret the Bible to fit our worldview?

I was just sitting here thinking very random things staring out of a window looking out at a busy roadway having a ☕ and this pops into my thoughts.

I think it is to a degree true that we consciously and subconsciously interpret sacred texts to support our agendas. When we should be rather shaping our agendas around God the Word.
