The Pauline Principle

The Pauline Principle is the idea that our Christian faith should be consistent with the faith preached in Paul's letters, whether we are interpreting OT or the Gospels etc Paul should be the litmus on whether we accept something as Christian. This idea is not a new concept, it actually goes back to the first New Testament compiled by Marcion. The argument for this is backed by various Protestant theologians, who to their credit have done vast amounts of research and concluded that since Paul's letters predate the gospel narratives they should be held as the standard. Since oral tradition had carried the gospels through the ages of documentation whereas Paul's letters are from himself. Sure the gospels contain the words of Christ yet this was not documented real time. Is your faith consistent with Paul's? Our 3 fold mission I believe is consistent as we preach the advent of Christ, His divine will and the law of Christ as given by Paul.
